Water Towers Agency completes 50,000 litre water tank in Kwale County

Kenya Water Towers Agency has completed a 50,000 litre water harvesting tank at Tsimba Secondary School in Kwale County. The school is one of the five selected model schools that aim to serve as a teaching point for climate smart activities. The Tank has been constructed to assist the school adapt to the climate change effects. “The harvested water will be used for watering seedlings in the nurseries within the school and even in the neighboring communities”, said Prof Julius Tanui, the Ag Director General of the Agency. The PS for Environment and Forestry Dr. Chris Kiptoo will inspect the tank on Friday 18th September during his coastal region tour of projects implemented by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and all the Agencies within the Ministry.
